The Robot Prince Returns! Gloryhammer Releases Surprise New Single "He Has Returned"

"Robot Prince of Auchtertool! Over thy robot kingdom rule!"

Power metal titans Gloryhammer have dropped a surprise new single, "He Has Returned", bringing the fan favourite robot Prince back to the forefront of the band's lore. Accompanying the single are two re-releases of Gloryhammer staples, "Unicorn Invasion of Dundee" and "Hootsforce". These are new versions of the tracks with a fresh production, a collaboration with producers George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token) and Jacob Hansen (Powerwolf, Volbeat).

In a press release under Napalm Records, the band have described the track as "revisiting a familiar theme whilst treading new sonic ground". New ground aside, this is trademark Gloryhammer - a band rife with every power metal cliche you can think of, but blended together seamlessly to make it a whole lot of fun.

This gives a glimpse into the future of Gloryhammer, who are also working on their next full length album, the follow up to 2023's "Return To The Kingdom of Fife".

If new music is indeed on the horizon, there's a lot to be excited for: the band have also announced a UK and Ireland tour for 2025, hitting 9 venues across January and February next year.
