Tooth And Dagger is an alternative metal band from the West Midlands, and are quickly rising up to solidify their place in the UK metal scene. With brand new single "Drift", the band cement themselves as one to seriously watch out for.

Thunder, rain, a gasp. And then...

It's not hyperbolic to call this something special.

A short symphonic intro sets the scene for "Drift", Tooth And Dagger's latest. Large, swelling instrumentals follow: symphonic elements buried under heavy, thick guitars; cymbal heavy drums keeping the rhythm. It's quickly obvious why these guys are so revered in their craft.

All this quickly fades, leaving space for soft, melodic vocals. It's a seamless transition.

A smorgasbord of elements follow - electronic elements, further symphonic orchestration, growling vocals, heavy guitars. It's a beautiful combination of all sorts of things, resulting in a really strong product.

Throughout this all though, the tone is beautifully melancholic, and perfectly encapsulates the message of the song.

This is a band that aren't afraid to experiment with mixing genres, and their passion for the unpredictability shines through here.
