EUROPA REIGN Unleash Debut Single "Broken Heart": Crushing Riffs Wrapped In Bluesy Hard Rock

Every so often, you hear a debut single that immediately makes you invested in anything that comes next. EUROPA REIGN are the latest band to tick that box for me.

Fresh out of Wolverhampton, the band have released their debut track "Broken Heart" ahead of their upcoming EP release in August. The band pride themselves on delivering "crushing riffs" and, well, they've absolutely proved it here. No convincing needed - you've sold me.

Right from the get go, the groove is infectious. The opening riff catches you straight away, reeling you in and not letting go. By the time the full band come in, the track is in full swing, each hit landing like a bluesy punch to the face.

The vocals have a strong air of familiarity to them, yet I can't quite put my finger on it. It's a very 90s hard rock/grunge sort of style, perfectly complimenting the track - like a heavier Chad Kroeger or a gruffer, more intelligible Eddie Vedder.

A bridge section towards the end adds a nice variety to the structure, allowing for some exciting drum fills. Somehow, there's even time for slightly cleaner section before one last chorus as well. Nothing feels rushed though - the band use the five minute runtime perfectly, making sure each section has its moment.

The end result is a timeless blend of classic metal and hard rock, mixed and produced to an incredibly top tier standard. Europa Reign are only at the beginning of their journey, and all signs are promising.
