Leeds lads Fools Arcade are starting the year off strong with their latest single, "So Much Time". The track also acts as a hard relaunch for the band, who changed their name from AIRE back in December last year.

On my first listen, I'm already moving along to the track - tapping my foot, bobbing my head, doing anything but sitting still. It's a heartfelt, feelgood track, which is what we all need sometimes. Its comforting message that it's okay to "have a to-do list as long as your entire arm" is a particularly resonant one.

Punching drums, an uplifting chord sequence and distorted guitars lead the track. Buried keys add a sound very typical to the genre, but it still succeeds in sounding fresh.

Whilst technically not a debut track, this is the first track released under the 'Fools Arcade' name, and so it's easy to look at it through the lens of a 'new band'. The band have perfectly crafted the alternative rock sound, creating something that sounds destined for a stage like Glastonbury.
