Every so often, the notion that 'rock is dead' gets peddled about by lavish rock megastars more often than not past their prime. Of course, whilst the industry has no doubt shifted in the decades since, that statement can quickly be debunked.

One such band is INVICTA, gaining a reputation not only for their energy, but to be doing it all at the young age of 17-19. It's hard to not be impressed, especially with releases as high calibre as their latest, "Loose".

Where previous releases felt aligned with bands like Avenged Sevenfold, there is a refined edge here, an almost nu metal punch in the verses. The track is full of high energy, soaring riffs and infectious groove, all staples of the sound the band have been working on since their debut album last year.

A short drum solo adds dynamic variety, and hints of a breakdown push the track into more aggressive territory. It all feels intentional, well crafted.

Invicta have proved time and time again that they are a band beyond their years, and this continues to be evidenced here. Prospects are strong.
