Alt rock trio GUNS FOR GIRLS have recently released their latest EP, "Guilty Pleasures". The four track EP sees the band channel a variety of influences, resulting in a grungy, alt-rock tinged final product. Following the release of the EP, I spoke to the band about the tracks and what went into them.

Steeped in gothic themes, IN CROOKED WONDERMENT have prided themselves on their strong lyrics and enticing soundscapes, creating a unique, folk laden sound. Latest EP "Regicide" sees the band venture into cinematic territory, with a release that sees the band masterfully straddle the often thin line between rock and folk.

There is a lot on the EP that feels like an homage - dashes of early Metallica, hints of 80s Iron Maiden, especially in the solos and lead guitar work - yet it still feels fresh. This is present especially in the title track, "Cradle To Grave", the dual guitars often complimenting and harmonising with each other, emphasising the the theatrical nature of it all whilst still blending with the vocals to produce a bold, layered sound.

Following a successful event last week (Saturday 2nd August), RAMPAGE FEST is set to return to the Kaset Skate Park in Kings Lynn this December.

Reignited with a fresh lineup at the start of the year, UK southern rockers SMOKE OVER ELSEWHERE have become unstoppable. New release "I Told You So" joins previous tracks as a strong single, and the band are now several dates into their first headline tour.

Spalding based KEEP THIS UP are back with brand new single "Fever Dream". A follow up to last year's "Ghosts", the track centres people who are sick of the pressure of the world, social media, and higher powers. Clearly now is the perfect time to release it.
