Bursting on to the scene only a few months ago in February, Northants based MYSTICIST are already leaving their mark. Debut track "Colossus" put them on the map, subsequent releases strengthened their grip, and now new release "Mass Dark Meditation" continues to clear the path.

Straight away, there is a softer edge to this compared to the band's previous tracks. All expectations are out the window. The vocals remind me of Chester Bennington, carrying the track with emotion and power, and the instrumentation is thin, letting the melody take the spotlight.

A quick drum fill starts the track, giving way to some fun guitar riffage. It's a simple rhythm with power chords and backbeat, but straight away, there is a lot of classic metal energy - it isn't long before you're tapping your foot along without even realising.

If Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka switched up careers and started a rock band, it would probably sound a bit like LE BONE. One of the most unique rock bands to emerge out of Wolverhampton (or anywhere, really), the band straddle musical skill with artful absurdity, creating music that is as catchy as it is eclectic.

With new track "Leeches", the band cement themselves as a formidable force, delivering groove-laden, face contorting death metal.

Pittsburgh horror punks RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE have recently released their latest full length album, "The New Flesh Reborn". The album, in true 80s horror fashion, sees old tracks injected with a new, modern ferocity.
